Delete your Diwara account
Deleting your account is permanent. Here is exactly how to do it and what happens.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Open Diwara on your iPhone.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Tap Delete My Account and confirm.
Your account and data are deleted immediately when you confirm. There is no waiting period and nothing to email.
Option 2 — By email (if you no longer have the app)
Email support@diwara.app from the email address on your Diwara account, with the subject "Delete my Diwara account." We'll verify the request comes from the account's email address and complete the deletion, then confirm by reply. If you signed in with Apple using a private relay address, write from that relay address (find it in iPhone Settings → your name → Sign In with Apple → Diwara).
What gets deleted
- Your account profile (name, email)
- Your current location and your entire location history
- Your place events, check-ins, and SOS events
- Your devices and push tokens
- Your Circle memberships — Circle members immediately lose access to your location
What happens to Circles you own
If you own a Circle that has other members, ownership passes to the Circle's longest-standing organizer (or member) so your family isn't locked out, and you are removed. If you are the only member, the Circle and its Places are deleted too.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription by itself — Apple manages billing. Cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Diwara to stop future charges. A Premium subscription tied to a Circle you own transfers with the Circle (see above); if the Circle is deleted, the subscription remains on your Apple ID until you cancel it, and no further benefit applies.
Can deletion be undone?
No. Deleted location data is permanently removed from our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can create a new account later, but the old data cannot be restored.
